MD3000 - Degraded Physical Disk Channel

Good Day All, I have an MD3000 with two attached MD1000 disk storage units that has been working fine for some time but this morning when I looked at it for the first time in a while it had an amber status light. When I logged into MDSM it showed the array as non-optimal and has a Recovery Guru message stating "Degraded physical disk channels:" 0". It also includes a message about not trying to fix anything myself. I'm a little bummed as one of the reason I picked the MD3000 is because it was modular and I thought that almost any problem could be fixed by just swapping out the faulty component but in this case I'm not being told exactly what is failing. I ran a "gather support information" and it includes the following lines: DRIVE CHANNELS---------------------------- SUMMARY CHANNEL PORT STATUS 1 In,Out,In,Out,Expansion Degraded 2 In,Out,In,Out,Expansion Optimal DETAILS DRIVE CHANNEL 1 Port: In, Out, In, Out, Expansion Status: Degraded Reason: Error threshold exceeded Max. Any thoughts on how to proceed with correcting this would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Scott
