Hi,
I have an error reported by MDSM. I rarely reboot this device but when I do this error gets reported within 24 hours, gets immediately cleared and doesn't return. Until now. Rebooted on Monday and this error has appeared and dissapeared three times now (once per 24 hours although the timing is not uniform). Here's the log dump for the last appearance:
Date/Time: 20/03/14 00:05:20
Sequence number: 7838
Event type: 280D
Event category: Internal
Priority: Critical
Event needs attention: true
Event send alert: true
Event visibility: true
Description: Expansion enclosure component failed or removed
Event specific codes: 0/0/0
Component type: Enclosure Component (EMM, GBIC/SFP, Power Supply, or Fan)
Component location: Enclosure 1, Slot 2
Logged by: RAID Controller Module in slot 0
This got cleared within seconds with no noticeable effect on the storage, which was under minimal load.
Should I be worried?
Thanks
Stuart
