Like I sad I installed SMcli without errors on Centos 6.4 . The linux machine has 2 Nic's. One with gateway in the local network (192.168.1.X) the other one in the SAN management network.(10.2.1.X) I can ping SAN management interface and I can reach other’s machines management interfaces in the same network (10.2.1.X)
Wen I run the command :
# SMcli -d
the response is:
“The SMcli cannot determine if you have a valid network connection from this client. If you are running on a Unix platform, please ensure that there is a host specified in the "hosts" file in your /etc directory.
SMcli failed.”
What host is supposed to be in /etc/hosts ?
I tried another command:
#SMcli 10.2.1.80 -c "show storageArray healthStatus;"
The response was:
"Network errors were detected while connecting to storage arrays.
Please check for any network problems and then try again.
SMcli failed."
But i repeat i can ping this IP.
